  The Tower of David Museum

The Tower of David Museum

The Tower of David Museum presents, chronologically, more than 3000 years of Jerusalem’s history using maps, videotapes, holograms, drawings and models. Located in a series of chambers in the original citadel, the museum includes a courtyard which contains ancient archeological ruins. The museum allows the visitor to revisit Jerusalem’s history, to relive it, and to leave the Citadel with a clear overview of the city’s past. The breathtaking views on Jerusalem old and new, the archeological gardens, and the special atmosphere of the place all add up to an unforgettable experience. Visitors may also ascend to the ramparts, which command a 360-degree view of the Old City and New City of Jerusalem. The Tower of David museum documents the complete history of Jerusalem as seen through the ancient citadel. As of 2002, the Jerusalem Foundation reported that over 3.5 million visitors had toured the museum.
